Meta's former COO Sandberg re-married, married her boyfriend of three years
Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook's parent company Meta, married her boyfriend of three years, Tom Bernthal, on Saturday in Wyoming.
Burnsall, 50, and Sandberg, 52, shared photos of the day on social media. The couple married on a ranch, with the groom wearing cowboy boots and jeans to symbolize their shared love of country music.
Burnsall wrote: "After a loss, @sherylsandberg and I are not sure we'll ever find true love. Over the past three years, we've fused our lives and ours Family. Our wedding today was a dream come true."
The couple were introduced by Sandberg's late ex-husband's brother. Burnsall, 50, has also been married before.
In 2015, Sandberg's ex-husband and SurveyMonkey CEO Dave Goldberg died of a heart attack at the age of 47.
In February 2020, Sandberg announced on social media that she was engaged to Tom Bernthal, co-founder of strategic consulting firm Kelton Global.
Sandberg and ex-husband Goldberg have a son and a daughter, and Burnsall has three children.
In June, Sandberg announced that he would step down as chief operating officer of Meta after 14 years this fall. Sandberg's resignation was under investigation by the company for allegedly using company resources to plan the wedding, according to people familiar with the matter.
