From the perspective of international air ticket booking, during the World Cup, the international fans who went to Qatar to watch the game also showed the characteristics of diversification, youth and individuality. According to Ctrip data, from November 20 to December 18, the top ten tourist source countries destinations in Qatar were the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain, India, Singapore, Thailand, and France.

In addition, during the World Cup, the post-00s and post-90s accounted for more than 55% of the international air ticket booking users destined for Qatar, 47% for one-person trips, and 46% for two-person trips and three-person trips.

More than 50% of men born in their 80s brought their children to watch football, and nearly 70% of women born in their 90s spent time watching games

At midnight on November 21, 2022, Beijing time, the opening game of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will officially start. Before the opening whistle of the opening game, on the evening of November 20th, an opening ceremony for the Olympic Games will present a visual feast for fans all over the world. According to data from Ctrip, on the opening day of the World Cup, domestic hotel bookings were still dominated by male users, while individual themed room types were more popular with female users.

It is worth noting that the category of Ctrip’s parent-child housing, which has always been dominated by female users, became dominated by male users on November 20, and over 50% of Ctrip’s parent-child housing products were booked by male users born in the 1980s. While male users born in the 1980s put down their work and realized the combination of "walking with babies + watching football", male users born in the 90s dominated the two major accommodation categories of audio-visual rooms and couple rooms, or pursued better visual Experience, or feel the charm of football in a romantic atmosphere.

Compared with male users, hot spring hotels and homestays are more popular among female users on cold winter days. Nearly 70% of female users booked hot spring hotels and homestays on the opening day of the World Cup. Before enjoying the visual feast, they first felt the warmth brought by bathing in winter.
