Porsche sold 220,000 units in the first nine months of the world, and Chinese female car owners were the most active buyers
A few days ago, Porsche officially announced that in the first three quarters of 2022, Porsche delivered a total of 221,512 new cars to global customers, a year-on-year increase of 2%. The Cayenne is still Porsche's most popular model.
In terms of different regions, the largest increase in sales was in the European market. From January to September this year, a total of 42,204 new cars were delivered, an increase of 11% year-on-year.
In its home market, Germany, new vehicle deliveries reached 20,850 units, an increase of 9 percent year-on-year. In North America, Porsche delivered 56,357 units.
Unsurprisingly, China remains Porsche's largest single market, with 68,766 new vehicles delivered (down 1% year-on-year). The previous Porsche prospectus showed that in the past three and a half years, Porsche has sold more than 310,000 vehicles in China, accounting for about 32.09% of the total global sales.
At the same time, the average age of Porsche's new car buyers in China in 2021 will be no more than 40 years old, and by 2022, the proportion of female Porsche customers in China will be 50%. Compared with Europe, North America and other markets, Porsche customers are dominated by male car owners.
In addition, the SUV remains the most popular model among Porsche customers, with the Cayenne topping the list with 66,769 deliveries; the second most popular model is the Macan, with 59,604 deliveries; and the legendary Porsche 911, with 911 deliveries 30,611 units, a year-on-year increase of 9%; Panamera new car deliveries were 25,452 units.
