With the efforts of hardcore enthusiasts, AMD Thread Tearer PRO 5995WX successfully hit 5.15GHz frequency under liquid nitrogen suppression a few days ago, and it is fully open with 64 cores.

You must know that the base frequency of the 5995WX design is only 2.7GHz, and the official acceleration is only 4.5GHz (single core).

The platform used this time is MSI WS WRX80 motherboard, Corsair 128GB DDR4-3200 memory (CL14, full 8 slots).

In the end, in Cinebench R23, the multi-threading achieved a score of 116142, which was 10% faster than the previous record holder 3990X. Under the pressure of an American overclocker, the 3990X rushed to 5.25GHz with a score of 105170.

It is reported that the thread tearer 5995WX does not officially recommend overclocking, but the special feature of this MSI board is that it has broken the overclocking limit. It uses 11-phase power supply, 105A current, and 14-layer reinforced PCB board design.
