an Apple spokesperson talked to Digiday today about the new Dateline subscription podcast product, revealing that Podcasts has grown significantly in more than a year, and since its launch in June 2021, paid subscribers The number increased by more than 300% .

More than 25 percent of  the top 100 shows in "Top Shows" offer paid options more than a year after the Podcasts subscription launched, an Apple spokesperson said.

  Apple launched a paid subscription to Podcasts in June 2021, a feature designed to allow users to unlock things such as going to ads, accessing other content, and early or exclusive access to new podcast series.

Apple will take a 15% to 30%  cut from Podcasts subscriptions , similar to how AppStore subscriptions work. Apple takes a 30% commission in the first year of a user's subscription and 15% for each subsequent year.

  Apple's newest subscription service, Dateline, introduces an ad-free listening experience, week-early access to episodes and monthly bonus episodes across nine podcasts and shows. The subscription price is $2.99 per month (about 20.66 yuan) or $29.99 per year
