PC computer sales are cool: whether it can be saved depends on Win11
After eating the dividends of the last wave of home office and remote online classes, PC computers once again encountered the darkest moment.
According to the latest data from the statistics agency IDC, PC shipments this year are expected to decline by 12.8% year-on-year, that is, from 348.8 million units to 305.3 million units, a decrease of 43.5 million units a year.
For next year, IDC is also not optimistic, and it is estimated that it will continue to decline by 2.3%, and it will not rebound until 2024.
Such pessimism does not seem like a good thing, and institutions believe that the hope of a revival depends on Windows 11.
Note that we are not talking about ordinary consumers, but business users. Analysts believe that as Windows 10 is abandoned by Microsoft and will end support in 2025, major corporate customers are considering switching to the Windows 11 platform. If this momentum is large enough, it is hoped that PC manufacturers will stop losses in advance.
Steam's latest software and hardware statistics show that game users have a very positive attitude towards Win11, and the upgrade rate has exceeded 24%.
