New research has found that a simple blood test can detect a variety of underlying cancer diseases in patients, which will help health services to make early cancer screenings.

According to the British "Guardian" report on the 11th, the study conducted blood tests on 6,621 people over the age of 50. Most of the results were negative, but 92 people were also found to be at risk of tumors, involving breasts, livers and other organs. Some of these cancers have extremely low late-stage survival rates. Usually three-quarters of cancers go undetected during early routine screening. The test will be expanded to 165,000 people next year, and doctors hope the rapid detection will help detect cancer early, making treatment and surgery more effective and saving more lives.

Nasser Turabi, director of Cancer Research UK, said: "Detecting cancer through blood tests, which used to be science fiction, is now an important area of cancer research that offers hope for patients. But we also need Larger data, particularly how long patients live after cancer is detected, are needed to assess this type of testing.”
