The plaintiffs in the case, an association of borrowers, consumers and taxpayers, have accused Apple of breaking the law by selling iPhones without chargers. The São Paulo state court ultimately ruled against Apple.
Apple said it would appeal the decision.
Apple has previously said that the purpose of not including a charger is to reduce carbon emissions.
"It is clear that the defendant, in the name of a 'green initiative', compelled consumers to purchase additional chargers that were previously provided with the product," the court ruling read.
