  The financial report shows that during the reporting period, Apple achieved revenue of US$90.146 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.14%; net profit was US$20.721 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.82%. "Our record quarterly results continue to demonstrate our ability to operate effectively despite a challenging and volatile macroeconomic environment," said Apple Chief Financial Officer Luca Mastri.

  Apple's revenue is divided into two major sectors: hardware products and software services, of which software services include advertising, payment products Apple Pay, and warranty services AppleCare. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022, hardware products contributed nearly 80% of Apple's revenue. In terms of products, iPhone sales increased by 9.67% year-on-year to $42.626 billion, but were still lower than analysts’ expectations; iPad sales fell by 13.06% year-on-year to $7.174 billion; Mac was the only one whose sales exceeded analysts’ expectations. of Apple products, its sales surged 25.39% year-on-year to $11.508 billion.

  In terms of regions, Apple’s revenue in Greater China was US$15.47 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%, accounting for about 17.16% of total revenue. Apple's revenue growth in Greater China is slightly lower than its revenue growth in the Americas and Europe, which were 8.12% and 9.62%, and significantly higher than its revenue growth in Japan (-4.86%). Apple's revenue growth in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region reached 22.75%.
