Musk is back in the perfume business, selling 10,000 bottles in a few hours
as the world's richest man, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) apparently smelled the business opportunity of the peculiar product. Today, he launched a fragrance called Burnt Hair, which sold 10,000 bottles in just a few hours and made $1 million.
Musk had teased the fragrance on Twitter in September, but it didn't expect it to become a reality so quickly. Today, Musk started pre-sale of the product on Twitter, priced at $100 a bottle, and sold 10,000 bottles in just a few hours.
The fragrance is produced by Musk's Boring Company and will ship in the first quarter of 2023. In addition, the fragrance allows users to pay with Dogecoins. To promote the product, Musk also changed his Twitter profile to "Perfume Salesman."
Musk has also launched a number of exotic products before, including Tesla-branded tequila, pickup-style whistle, shorts and flamethrowers.
