Meta announces that its game streaming app will be discontinued on October 28
Meta announced that it will terminate support for its Facebook Gaming APP, its game live broadcast platform, on October 28 this year, and the application will be discontinued.
It is reported that the program was initially launched in April 2020 and supports instant games, that is, users can play the game without downloading the game to the device. Some of the app's features will remain in Facebook's main app.
A statement from the Facebook Gaming team said, "Beginning October 28, 2022, the Facebook Gaming app for iOS and Android will cease to function, despite our efforts to connect players, fans and creators with the games they love. The mission hasn't changed, and when you visit Gaming in the Facebook app, you can still find your games, streamers, and groups."
