Apple’s iPhone 14/Pro series was released recently, which is basically the same as the previous rumors. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have undergone major changes and are equipped with A16 chips.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have not changed much, and the processor is still A15 or an enhanced version of A15.

According to the Apple mobile device model code released by the latest beta version of Apple Xcode, the model code of the iPhone 14 series is as follows:

  • iPhone14: iPhone14, 7

  • iPhone14 Plus: iPhone14, 8

  • iPhone 14 Pro: iPhone 15, 2

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: iPhone 15, 3

Among them, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have the same model codes as the iPhone 13/Pro series, which belong to the "iPhone 14" generation.

In fact, this is not surprising. According to Apple's model code rules, models equipped with the same generation of processors, the model code belongs to the same generation. For example, iPhone5 and iPhone5c, although the release time of the two are separated by a year, both are equipped with A6 chip, so the model code is "iPhone5" series.

In the future, we will also see iPhone14, 7 (iPhone14) and iPhone14, 8 (iPhone14 Plus) in performance testing, development and other scenarios.

Apple's iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus retain most of the iPhone 13's design - including the notch for the phone's selfie camera and FaceID sensor, available in five colors: midnight, purple, starlight, red, and blue Optional.

Both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are equipped with a stronger A15 bionic chip than last year's iPhone 13. The upgrade point is that the GPU has been upgraded from a 4-core to a 5-core full-blooded version, which makes the images of video apps and high-performance games smoother. In addition, its 6-core CPU can handle tasks with extremely high performance requirements smoothly and efficiently, and the 16-core neural network engine performs 15.8 trillion operations per second, which can speed up the operation speed of third-party apps and machine learning in iOS16.
